Feb. 16th 2010

So its been almost a week since I’ve wrote in here so on feb. 10th we got to go to a school with gypsy kids and kids who are rejected Then on the 11-13th we stayed at a school next to an old age home which we would be ministering at. Well we stayed at two diffrent old aged homes the first night was a old aged/ mentally challenged home then the second night we stayed at a old age one. The first day we were there they wanted us to cut the grass.. with our hands.. it was super tall! But they wanted it to be cut so the kids could play in the field.. the only tool they gave us was a stick to hit the grass with to scare snakes away! haha what an adventure. Then the next day we continued with the pulling of the grass then we moved a big pile of .. stuff? haha anyways then we headed over the the second old aged home. First we went to like there prayer session thing and we thought we were going to play music there but they wanted to do it the next day. So we went to the church thing the next day and we didn’t have a translator so we were looking for one. Then we found a little old lady that could translate for us so we did three songs and gave two testimonies. Following that we found out that we weren’t even suppose to do anything! cause they had a pastor that day! hahah! All well the people were really blessed by the music. We got to go to into there rooms and play music for them. It was challenging but God used us to bless them. Then on sunday the 14th we went to Pastor Sam Paul’s church and did the service it was good. God has been to amazing we wouldn’t be able to do anything we have without him. He has been with us every step of the way. I know that I wouldn’t be able to lead worship without him. He is the one that leads I am just a vessel open for him to use me. I am so excited for all the things God had done in India and I know He is going to keep the moving there! He has already taught me so much in India in out first three weeks and I know that he is going to show me so much more here in Nepal.. Ask me about our airport story in Nepal! ha it was funny. But right now I just pray that I learn so much more here and that God would give me a heart to be here. Also that I will be able to bless and encourage so many people here. O yah and yesterday and today is the third jubilee that we have been to! But its alright. It is freezing here! But it is so cool cause you look at the mountains and you can see snow! I can see the Himalayas. Were like in the Himalayas right now! Craziness! God is so good I’m so excited for the next 18 days!
Here are some things I am learning from God and need to remind myself of.
1. Have an open heart to need things
2. Don’t focus on how good people think you are or how much they love you but focus on what God thinks of you and how much he love you his opinion matters the most
3. When you worship, worship with all your heart every time all the time
4. Worship is way more than just music everyone is a worship leader wether they know it or not.
5. Always be faithful to share the word of God and don’t be disappointed if the person who you are speaking to doesn’t accept it. God still moves in there heart wether they or you know it is.

Feb. 10th 2010 Wed.

So not yesterday but the day before that we went to a school that was for gypsy kids and kids that are normally rejected by society. I got to play a little kid song that Hannah and I wrote during lecture phase. After that Ben got to share about Jesus.. Then we played games..Games..Wow. THEY WENT CRAZY! HAH! But it was fun we were in a small room with about 85 kids! When we left it was hard to get to the door! Then after that we went to go visit some gypsy’s we had met before. Then yesterday which was the 9th was our day off. But it was so cool cause in the evening one of the girls that is on dts here in India said she wanted to speak with me and she shared her heart with me and I got to pray for her. She was crying when I was talking about how we leave on sunday. She said she felt loved by me! aww I am going to miss her so much and all the people here!

Feb. 7 2010 Sunday

Yesterday we had the morning off then after lunch well way after lunch we went to Pastor Sam Paul’s church again and did a youth service. It was so cool because two of the girls from the muslim family came to the service! woo woo! Anyways today and tomorrow we are at the 50th anniversary of YWAM… for the second time haha! The first was in Cambra, Australia a week before we came here. So yah it should be good.

Feb.6 2010 Sat.

Well I haven’t written in two days so not yesterday but the day before we went to another church and we got to go to the peoples houses that go to that church. The first house we went to we got to pray for this lady that has a sick son and her daughter was in the hospital and her husband had died. My heart was so sad for her. Then later that dat we went to hand out with gypsys. Then yesterday we went to Pastor Sam Pauls church again and we helped with a womens pray meeting. We also went to a muslim house with people we made friends with on the street after that we went back to the church and prayed for it. Following that we went back home to the base and had a pizza party!

Feb. 4, 2010

Well yesterday was super good until the ending of the day. Yesterday we went back to Pastor Sam Paul’s church ( the one we have been going back to a few times). We did street evangelism. Then we took a break for a while and Natalie and I were playing guitar and just practicing some songs. Then we went to some of the homes of people that go to that church. The first house we went to we go t to pray for a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law then the second house we went to someone received Jesus! It was awesome God is so good! Then the third house we went to I played a couple of songs then the Pastor played a song in tamil. Then we got to pray for the people in the house. That night I was attacked with the spirit of rejection. But when we got home I talked to Natalie about it and she recognized that it was the the spirit of rejection(which I didn’t at first) then we talked about it and she prayed for me and now I’m fine. God is so good!

Feb. 1, 2010

What a beautiful day. I was tired today but it was good. We got to go to a leprosy colony and We were able to go into all there houses (18 families) and pray for them. They are rejected by the society of India. So they have to live in the corner of the city. No one comes to see them and no one goes to there houses. So it was so cool to go into there houses and pray for them. There was this one old lady that made me want to cry she had leprosy and had been sick with a fever for the past ten days. I just pray that our prayers comforted her. After we went there we went to a school and hung out with handicap kids some couldn’t see and some couldn’t talk I even saw an albino. They were very happy kids they loved the camera!
After that we went to the pastors house to pray for him and his family. It was a really long day I am so tired now. But it was so good I am so thankful God has sent me here.

Finally blogs on outreach! Jan. 31,2010

(I tried to write in my journal everyday so I could put some blogs up when I got home so heres the start)Wow we have already done so many things… The first day that we were doing outreach we went to a church then walked around the village doing a prayer walk and handed out tracks. Also we got to talk to the people about God and pray for them. Hehe we also went to a house right next door to the church and have like a baby ceremony thing haha. Then the next day (well I think it was the next day) We did a prayer walk at this beach place. It was a fisherman village. Then the next day we went back to the church that we had gone to on the first day. We did another prayer walk and talked to people again. Then we did an open air where we got to play some songs have a testimony and a skit in the middle of street. It was so much fun! The traffic was a little crazy. There is cows on the side of the street everywhere! Also lots of dogs and goats. The people here in India are so hospitable. Ok so then we went to a daycare center the next day and got to hang out with gypsy kids which here in India they are totally rejected by everyone. It was so much fun loving on them and playing with them. I got to hang out with the coolest little girl. She was so cute. We gave them baths they loved it! When all the other kids were going crazy this little girl was just sitting nicely on my lap. Then the day after that we went to an old age/ Mentally challenged home. It was so sad seeing people like that but it was good seeing people taking care of them. Then today… was so much FUN! We got to go to a church and do the second half od the service. I got to lead worship… I think it was on like the second song and I dropped my pick in my guitar and cut my finger from strumming! hahahah anyways the sound was pretty horrible haha but it was ok cause we were worshiping God. Then people got to share there testimonies we got to do a skit and Danny got to preach. Then we went to Anbu and Christies house (our translator) for lunch well first we went to the Pastors house for breakfast. Then we went to eat lunch. After lunch we went to the Zoo to hang out with HIV and AIDS patients which is another people group that is rejected here in India. It was soooo much fun. I really felt like I opened up today. We played a game and did a funny skit. It was so much fun. Some people also got to share God with some of the aids and hiv people it was so good.
Now I am going to make a list of goals for the rest of this outreach.
-Pray for someone and see them get healed.
-Make three people I don’t know smile daily.
-Tell someone who never heard about Jesus about Him.
-Have so much compassion that I can’t help but cry.
-Hold the broken.
-Befriend the lonely.
-Touch someone’s life with my testimony.
-Tell my testimony
-See someone come to the Lord.
-Love how God loves.
-To grow in compassion and love daily.
-Make a difference for someone.
-Be able to speak in tongues and someone under stand my tongue.
-Be able to share the gospel.
